The people behind the progress

You know your dog.
We want to know them, too.

Their routine. What makes them comfortable. The habits you’re working on. Those details matter to us.

01 / Experience

Meet Chris Dunlap.

Nearly two decades of dog training experience, focused on the relationship that continues after the lesson ends.

Chris’s work centers on helping dogs and their owners build better communication, stronger relationships, and practical skills for everyday life.

02 / Owner coaching

The person holding the leash matters, too.

We help you understand what your dog is learning and how to keep practicing together at home. Private lessons consider your dog’s temperament and your goals, while graduate group classes give you opportunities to reinforce skills around controlled distractions.

03 / The team

The people make the difference.

Space matters. So does the person who notices how your dog is settling in. Our family and team take the details you share seriously, from their usual routine to the things that help them feel comfortable.

You deserve to feel comfortable asking questions. Your dog deserves to be treated as an individual.

What guides the way we work

A better relationship
is the point.

Helping you and your best friend have a great life together starts with three things.
01 / Safety

Safety comes first.

Training should help you guide your dog through everyday situations with greater confidence. We work toward dependable responses that support safer choices, at home and out in the world.

02 / Bond

The bond matters.

Better communication creates more room for connection. Our goal is to help you understand each other, reduce everyday frustration, and enjoy being a team.

03 / Fun

Leave room for fun.

Learning should leave room for enjoyment. Engaging training gives dogs opportunities to think, participate, and experience the satisfaction of working with you.

Our approach

We use an individualized, balanced training approach and include owner coaching in the process. Your consultation is a chance to discuss your goals, ask about our methods, and understand the options before choosing a program.

Black Forest

More than a backdrop.

Our 40-acre ranch brings training, boarding, and outdoor activity together in Black Forest. Wooded surroundings, open spaces, and a dedicated agility field give this place its character.

For dogs here to train, it’s a place to practice and build skills. For dogs staying while their families are away, it’s a place to settle in and receive attentive care.

Care looks like something

Attention you can
actually see.

Trust is built in the everyday moments: noticing how a dog is settling in, making room for enrichment, keeping spaces clean, and treating each dog like an individual instead of a reservation number.
